Facilities and Capacity

Situated in the Rockville Civil Center Park, this glorious venue can be used to host ceremonies, receptions, bridal showers, engagement parties, and rehearsal dinners. Such is its versatility that a wide variety of events can take place here with ease. In terms of capacity, as many as 200 guests can easily be accommodated here, allowing for both intimate and large gatherings to take place. What better place to say ‘I do’ than with the sun shining down upon you and your nearest and dearest among the Formal Gardens and Mall? With chairs arranged for the special moment, an arbor can be set up so that the moment is given the setting it deserves. Alternatively, if the weather does not permit an outdoor celebration, the mansion can house an indoor event. Again, chairs can be arranged either side of the aisle inside the Conservatory space. With tasteful decor and sparkling chandeliers overhead, the magical moment can be sealed before the reception.

When the gardens are set up with tents and the appropriate facilities, up to 200 wedding guests can be accommodated here. The Conservatory is a suitable area for entertaining guests. Ideal for a meal or cocktail reception, 50 people can enjoy a sit-down culinary experience here. The bright and airy Dining Area can seat 50 people - or it can host buffet-style gatherings. The Living Room provides extra space for guests to mix and mingle as the special day unfolds - what’s more, it opens out onto a sheltered porch. For intimate occasions, the Bowie Library is a charming space that can seat 18 people.

Staff at Glenview Mansion are happy to tweak the venue’s set up so that clients’ preferences are met. A variety of event rentals (Chiavari chairs, dance floor, furniture) can be provided so that the venue comes alive the way the couples want it to. Outside vendors are more than welcome to come on-site to personalize the setup accordingly. What’s more, get-ready rooms can be made available so that those who need to prepare can do so in comfort.
